The National University Health System (NUHS) is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the NUHS Virtual Care Centre (VCC).
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity will enable you to play a vital role in delivering patient-centred, technology-enabled care to patients in the community. You will be responsible for carrying out counselling for newly initiated medication, addressing patient queries, and assisting pharmacists in history taking and structured medication reconciliation.
- Counselling for newly initiated medication by VCC
- Addressing basic patient queries regarding medication handling, dosing schedules, supply status, and escalating complex cases to the pharmacist
- Assisting pharmacists in history taking and structured medication reconciliation for requests related to medication top-ups
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also process prescriptions for VCC patients, coordinate with pharmacists and procurement to support the supply of non-formulary medications, facilitate timely home delivery of medications, and work with the pharmacy home delivery team and external vendors to track, confirm, and troubleshoot deliveries.
This role requires strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary care team. If you possess a Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science, and have minimum 1–2 years of hospital pharmacy experience, we encourage you to apply.
Requirements- Possess Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science
- Minimum 1–2 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Familiarity with pharmacy and hospital IT systems (e.g. EPIC)
- Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills to work in a multidisciplinary care team
