Manufacturing Process Specialist

The goal of the Manufacturing Process Specialist is to create, implement and improve manufacturing processes in a highly automated assembly environment. The role requires analyzing production operations, identifying inefficiencies, and developing solutions to enhance automation, reduce cycle times, and ensure product quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing assembly processes to improve efficiency and reduce defects, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards.
  • Design and maintain procedures, work instructions, control plans, and process validation documents.
  • Examine production data to identify bottlenecks and sustain and improve the quality management system to guarantee process consistency and adherence to standards.
  • Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to monitor and improve process stability.
  • Analyze Out-of-Control (OOC) events, troubleshoot engineering issues, and implement corrective actions to improve Process Capability (CPK).
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize operations.
  • Work with robotics, sensors, and AI-driven systems to boost automation efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automated assembly.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
  • 3 years' experience in robotic automation, assembly processes, and industrial robotics electronics assembly.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting automated manufacturing systems.
  • Experience in NPI, process validation, and product qualification is preferred.
Required Skills:
  • Expertise in SPC Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and control system troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ERP systems (e.g., Odoo), or other CAD tools for designing and optimizing assembly lines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to mentor junior team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
