Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Needs Teacher to join our team at APSN Education Services Ltd.

As a Special Education Needs Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational services to students with special needs. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized educational programs for our students, working closely with other school personnel to ensure their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Support: Implement effective teaching strategies and intervention methods to support students with special needs, ensuring they receive the necessary accommodations to succeed academically and socially.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer valid and reliable assessments to measure student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform instruction.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with allied professionals, parents/caregivers, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support and services for our students.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles,
  • Advocating for instructional resources to enhance student learning,
  • Supervising students and managing classroom behavior,
  • Documenting concerns and facilitating problem-solving with parents and support staff,
  • Providing information to parents for home-school communication.

Requirements:

  • A Local Diploma/ Degree from recognized Institutions with GCE 'A' level credits in General Paper and Mathematics,
  • Prior experience working with students with mid-intellectual disabilities is preferred,
  • Specific subject knowledge, knowledge in special needs education, and behavior modification,
  • Interpersonal skills, classroom management skills, takes Initiative, effective communication Strong in verbal and written English.
What We Offer
