Job Title: Special Education Needs Teacher

Job Summary:
A dedicated and compassionate Special Education Needs Teacher is required to join our team at APSN Education Services Ltd. in Choa Chu Kang. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field and prior experience working with students with Special Education Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) for students with SEN, working closely with other school personnel and allied professionals.
  • Design and implement valid and reliable modes of assessment to evaluate students' progress and development.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure quality support and well-being of students with SEN.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in special education and advocate for students' needs to ensure they receive appropriate support and resources.
  • Supervise students and manage pupil behaviors in the classroom and on school premises to inculcate school values and enforce discipline.
  • Document concerns of students to facilitate problem-solving with parents and professional support staff.

Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree from a recognized institution with GCE 'O' level credits in English and Mathematics.
  • Prior experience working with students with Special Education Needs (SEN) is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, classroom management skills, and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to changing situations.
