Mechanical Asset Maintenance Specialist

This role is focused on maintaining mechanical assets to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of preventive maintenance principles and be able to apply this knowledge to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in maintenance. They should be familiar with industrial standards such as API, ASME, and equivalent, and have exposure to Capex projects. Familiarity with API 653 and/or 570 is an advantage.
The responsibilities of the role include identifying whether an asset requires preventive maintenance, determining and adjusting the required preventive maintenance for an asset, and executing Capex projects. The candidate will also be responsible for carrying out inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and making recommendations on remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
The requirements for the role are clear:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance
- Exposure & experience in industrial standard (API, ASME and equivalent)
- Familiarity with API 653 and/or 570 is an advantage
