Job Title: Mechanical & Static Equipment Engineer

This role is part of the Engineering division, supporting asset integrity and reliability across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist mechanical engineering support for production units, focusing on piping standards, storage facilities, fired equipment, and pressure vessels.
  • Develop and maintain Bukom Engineering Practices (BEP) for static equipment, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, engineering codes, and industry standards.
  • Focal point for developing/updating mechanical engineering policies and guidelines, as well as maintaining static equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Lead implementation of new procedures and provide mechanical engineering inputs for capital/revamp projects during the pre-FEED phase.
  • Collaborate with asset owners to deliver refinery business objectives.
  • Investigate complex equipment/system problems, leading causal learning investigations and providing recommendations for reliability improvement.
  • Develop and lead implementation of asset master plans for the refinery, including ECC and utilities units.
  • Contribute to proactive maintenance and plant reliability improvements, ensuring technical integrity of assets.
  • Drive sustainable development and reliable execution of Bukom Total Flange Assurance programs.
  • Perform engineering design verification for existing equipment using PV Elite and Code Calc software.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience delivering or supporting asset integrity work in assets
  • Field engineering/construction/asset-support experience
  • Experience in equipment integrity and fitness for service
  • Familiarity with equipment/piping failure investigations
