Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer

The role of a Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer is to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.


Job Description:

An experienced technical candidate with hands-on experience in laser technology products is sought to join our team as a Process Engineer. This individual will develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing flows and methods to drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, cycle time, inventory management, and cost.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequences, processes, and systems in the manufacture of sub-assemblies, precision cleaning, and final assemblies of laser systems.
  • Sets up and maintains bill of materials, process flow, and routing, process layout to ensure smooth physical, materials, documentation, and system flow throughout the operations.
  • Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
  • Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering process focus.
  • Proficient in Lean thinking and application will be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and reliability.
