Housekeeping Manager Role

A key member of our team is needed to oversee the daily operations of housekeeping and internal laundry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and well-maintained.

This role involves directing and working with employees to ensure that high standards of cleanliness are met, completing inspections, and holding individuals accountable for any corrective action needed. The position requires a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service while maintaining operating budgets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage Housekeeping Operations: Ensure timely communication of guest room status to the front desk, work effectively with engineering on guestroom maintenance needs, supervise general cleaning schedules, and obtain lists of rooms to be cleaned or prospective check-outs/discharge to prepare work assignments.
  • Coordinate Housekeeper Team: Supervise daily housekeeping shift operations, ensure compliance with housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures, assist in ordering guestroom supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms, and support an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaces.
  • Manage Departmental Costs: Participate in managing departmental controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals, understand the impact of departmental operations on overall property financial goals and objectives, and manage to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Ensure Exceptional Customer Service: Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints, strive to improve service performance, empower employees to provide excellent customer service, participate as needed in investigating employee accidents, supervise staffing levels to ensure guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met, and ensure employees understand expectations and parameters.
