Environmental Operations Director

We are currently seeking a visionary leader to spearhead the operational direction and management of our environmental services functions.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of operational models, workflows, and emergency response plans in line with the hospital's service and care model. This includes overseeing the Housekeeping, Linen Management, Waste Management, Pest Control, and Landscape teams, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to develop procurement and resourcing plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational models and workflows to improve efficiency and quality of services
  • Lead the environmental services team, including management of in-house staff and outsourced partners/service providers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop procurement and resourcing plans
  • Implement initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of operations, such as adoption of technology or robotics
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline and at least 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in management of hospital operations
  • Good knowledge of front-end and back-end environmental services
  • Excellent planning, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to engage various stakeholders in a fluid environment and growing organisation
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging conditions
