Job Title: Information Technology Governance Specialist


About the Role:

This is a highly sought-after position in our organization, where you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a robust governance framework within our IT department.

You will be responsible for identifying and closing process and governance gaps, ensuring alignment of IT practices with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.


Main Responsibilities:


We are looking for someone to lead our Identity Access Management operations, design and implement IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support our organization's strategic objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Leading, managing, enhancing, and operating our Identity Access Management system (IAM).
  • Conducting annual and semi-annual company-wide user and privileged access review and remediation.
  • Proposing and implementing further controls to mitigate user access-related risk and issues.
  • Establishing and maintaining IT security baselines aligned with industry standards to ensure consistent security controls across systems.
  • Reviewing firewall rules periodically to enforce network security, minimize attack surface, and ensure compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Identifying gaps in existing IT processes and governance structures and developing action plans to address these deficiencies.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT governance operations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats to IT governance.
  • Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization's IT assets and data.
  • Establishing metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance of IT governance and process improvement initiatives.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports to senior management on the status of governance and process improvement efforts.

Requirements:


To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Certification in IT Security-related such as CISSP, CISM, SSCP, CompTIA Security+.
  • Strong project management, organizational skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, identity access management, or a related discipline.
