Job Title:

The Science Support Specialist will provide administrative support to teachers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills, who can work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Prepare apparatus and materials needed by Science teachers before lessons;
  • Label and group items for easy access, turn on necessary IT equipment before the teacher is in the class;
  • Assist teachers in supervising students during lab work;
  • Maintain equipment and apparatus in the science room;
  • Update inventory lists, identify and condemn items that are not in working condition;
  • Collate necessary materials to be purchased and liaise with teachers;
  • Help teachers buy perishable items for Science experiments;
  • Assist Science teachers in carrying out Science events, registration, and collection of forms (if any);
  • Help with Science Head of Department work in the afternoons, such as collating survey results, typing simple forms, and other administrative duties as required;
  • Assist with school safety management measures, including managing student crowd control at arrival and dismissal time;
  • Supervise students during unstructured playtime during recess.

Requirements:

  • Have one year's experience working in a similar job in a primary school;
  • Be conversant in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Working Arrangement:

">

Monday to Thursday: 6:45 am to 3:45 pm;

">

Friday: 6:45 am to 3:15 pm;

">

Services not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.

Contract Period:

11 months (from February).
