About the Role

ERM is seeking a highly skilled Managing Consultant to join our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) – Transaction Advisory team in Singapore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical due diligence services to financial institutions and infrastructure operators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of proposals, including the development of company profiles, technical scopes of work, scheduling, and commercial terms.
  • Assist/lead on projects that provide clients with a technical, operational, and business plan evaluation of their proposed investment on infrastructure assets.
  • Coordinate project deliverables, including Q&A submissions, management sessions, client meetings, and report delivery.
  • Work effectively across technical communities within ERM and subcontractors to support project delivery and client interaction.
  • Complete internal development tasks to improve the functionality of ERM's Transaction Advisory service line.
Requirements and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A solid academic background with an engineering bias (e.g., Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering).
  • 6-8 years of technical consulting, engineering, or operational experience in the energy/power/infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to identify risks and opportunities within technical documentation.
  • Experience with site visits, site inspections, and technical discussions related to asset integrity, operational performance, management systems, or business plans.
  • Excellent organisational skills, self-motivation, self-sufficiency, and the ability to work successfully in a fast turnaround team environment.
  • Advanced report writing and presentation skills, with experience in a client-facing role.
Desirable Skills

The following skills are highly desirable:

  • Management of previous external client projects.
  • The ability to lead or manage complex project delivery, coordinating multiple workstreams into client deliverables.
  • Previous experience in technical due diligence.
  • Corporate finance qualification.
  • Interest in domestic and overseas travel to perform site visits when required.
  • Knowledge of current, reasonable costs associated with Capex and Opex for engineering assets/projects.
  • Familiarity with decarbonization strategies and technologies.
  • Experience reviewing EPC contracts, financial models, design and specifications, budgets for industrial projects.
