Job Title: Senior/Executive, Biomedical Engineering

Key Responsibilities:
  • Timely maintenance and replacement of biomedical assets, equipment, and fixtures minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Preventive maintenance schedules developed to extend asset lifespan and reduce reactive servicing.
  • Support infrastructure improvement projects, ensuring alignment with clinical needs and operational timelines.
  • Liaise with IT Support Services to resolve computer hardware issues, manage cabling infrastructure, and integrate IT software systems for seamless operations.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage service contracts with vendors/suppliers, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure regulatory compliance and industry standards.
  • Analyse biomedical devices and facilities operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience; or
  • Diploma in Facilities Management Engineering or related field with at least 8 years of demonstrated competency
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA)
  • Independent, resourceful, and collaborative with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in healthcare, hospital operations, or large institutional environments
