An Anatomical Pathologist / Histopathologist position is available at the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) in Singapore.
The Associate Consultant / Consultant / Senior Consultant position is based in the Department of Laboratory Medicine (DLM), which provides a range of comprehensive laboratory services to KTPH, the adjoining Yishun Community Hospital (YCH) and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee cytopathology and general histopathology service department/laboratory.
- Conduct gross examinations and provide anatomical pathology services as needed.
- Ensure the proper handling of all samples.
- Examine all samples as requested, conducting all necessary tests accurately.
- Provide a detailed written report with evaluation and diagnosis for each case.
- Participate in Multidisciplinary tumour board meetings.
- Participate in internal and external QA.
- Participate at some level in ongoing research and continuing medical educational development.
- Possess a basic medical degree with a relevant postgraduate qualification such as FRCPath with CHCCT (CHCCT is a requirement for obtaining an accreditation in Singapore), FRCPA or board certification recognised by the Singapore Medical Council.
- Completed specialty training in the relevant fields in countries such as Australia, UK or USA and preferably with at least 2 years of relevant experience as Specialist.
- Published at least one article in peer-reviewed journals in a field related to Anatomical / Histopathology would be viewed as a strong advantage.
Yishun Health is a network of medical institutions and health facilities in the north of Singapore, under the National Healthcare Group. It comprises Admiralty Medical Centre, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Yishun Community Hospital.
