Job Title

A research position is available for a talented individual to join our team in developing a software platform that supports Smart Nation applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement natural language processing (NLP) algorithms and models for semantic analysis, e.g., topic modeling, embedding, named-entity recognition, coreference resolution, and parsing, as well as Multilingual translation.
  • Apply NLP in knowledge and information extraction.
  • Conduct translational research to apply state-of-the-art solutions at scale for real-world challenges.
  • Document and scientifically report results.
  • Mentor junior staff.
Requirements
  • A PhD in Computer Science is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of software development experience is necessary; however, candidates with relevant project experience may also be considered.
  • Experience and an excellent research background in NLP are essential.
  • Possess a passion for NLP and AI-related research, innovations, and their applications.
  • Be proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, and research packages/modules.
  • Have experience in large-scale text processing and analytics.
  • Display good track records in publication.
  • Experience in Multilingual Translation is an added advantage.
