Culinary Support Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Culinary Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our kitchen facilities, including sinks, stoves, and overall cleaning and disinfecting of the kitchen labs at the end of each day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of Craft & Technology special rooms (D&T workshops, Design & Art studios, and Kitchen Labs)
- Conduct scheduled thorough cleaning and organisation of Craft & Technology special rooms termly
- Assist with daily preparation tasks to ensure smooth delivery of lessons
- Work with NFS teachers to prepare food ingredients and necessary crockery/equipment needed for practical/investigative sessions
- Monitor stock of food ingredients and alert NFS teachers to replenish stock when required
- Maintain high level of hygiene standards in kitchen labs and during food preparation
- Support Staff Engagement Committee in preparation of light meals, light desserts, snacks, and packing of staff welfare items
- Maintain inventory of food ingredients and ensure they are organised and properly stored
- Ensure safety compliance within kitchen labs and operating of basic kitchen equipment at all times
- Carry out washing of aprons, school table cloth etc when required
Requirements:
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
