The Broadcast Engineer plays a vital role in the technical operations of media transmission, ensuring seamless acquisition and broadcast of live and recorded content. Key responsibilities include receiving various feeds through Fiber and Satellite, managing audio formats, and providing live event sources to TX facilities.Key Responsibilities:
  • Acquiring and processing incoming feeds through Fiber and Satellite, and providing live event sources to TX.
  • Managing ingest schedules, routing live feeds properly, and testing audio and video quality of given links during live broadcasts.
  • Operating core technical facilities for live feed acquisition via satellite, fiber, or IP Technology, monitoring servers, storage, network switches, power supplies, and equipment performance.
  • Conducting quality control and transcoding of incoming streams or package transfers to Media Servers, updating station routers as per event schedules.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues, restoring traffic flow, and coordinating with venues for error-free transmission.
  • Maintaining MCR equipment, including FMS servers, routers, buzzers, and monitoring tools, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of live event management and multitasking skills.
  • Fluent English communication and effective documentation skills.
  • Able to report technical issues through clear diagrams and specifications.
  • Ability to translate user requirements into technical requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborative team player with strong time management skills.
  • Able to adapt to changing circumstances and work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve problems effectively.
