Costing and Inventory Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Costing and Inventory Professional to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting global cost and inventory accounting and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support costing and inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Analyze production cost variance and assist in inventory reconciliation to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with operations teams during cycle counts and investigate inventory variances to maintain accurate records.
  • Support the alignment of costing processes between Singapore and Batam operations.
  • Perform cost roll-ups for new materials and components, maintaining up-to-date records in ERP systems.
General Accounting:
  • Process accounts payable invoices with accurate GL coding, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals, to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Maintain and update selected balance sheet schedules, providing valuable insights into company performance.
  • Support quarterly GST submissions and ensure compliance with Singapore tax regulations.
  • Assist in preparing documents and schedules for annual external audit, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide effective support to management in validating accounting for periodic reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing costing and general accounting.
  • Hands-on experience in ERP systems, with proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Possess strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Bonus Skills:
  • Experience working with cross-border operations, with knowledge of international trade regulations.
  • Familiarity with Epicor and/or JDE, with expertise in system implementation and maintenance.
  • Understanding of BOM, routing, and cost structures in a production environment, with ability to analyze and optimize processes.
