Role Overview:

This position involves providing expert legal guidance on Singapore law and related regulations to support business growth through strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the business teams to develop and execute strategic plans for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
  • Lead the negotiation and drafting of commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide counsel on corporate secretarial matters, including company incorporations, board meetings, and shareholder resolutions.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance and develop internal policies to ensure adherence to relevant laws and standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with business transactions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in a similar role or as a lawyer, preferably with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, and litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of Singaporean law and regulations, as well as international best practices.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
