Job Summary

Panasonic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communications strategies to enhance the company's brand awareness and corporate image.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regional support and guidance to the regional teams on brand management, crisis management, reviewing press materials, on-ground support, etc.
  • Enhance the company's brand awareness and corporate image through strategic communications initiatives.
  • Develop and edit news releases, speeches, articles, briefing documents, and other press materials to effectively communicate the company's message.
  • Plan and develop a PR plan, including budgets, timelines, and other necessary details.
  • Identify key messages and leverage various media channels to maximize the company's brand exposure through interviews, editorials, and other media opportunities.
  • Craft messages and talking points for senior management to effectively communicate the company's message.
  • Organize events, including press conferences, regional conferences, and press tours, to promote the company's brand and message.
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests, and pitch stories to the media to secure positive coverage for the company.
  • Identify regional PR/media opportunities, such as organizing media roundtables with regional media, to enhance the company's brand awareness.
  • Share relevant news announcements and article write-ups across the organization and distribute the monthly newsletter to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Support crisis communications and drive issues management to ensure the company's reputation is protected.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in PR or related communications experience, with a good understanding of PR practice in B2C and B2B areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of the Singapore and APAC media landscape.
  • Excellent self-presentation, energetic, strong work ethic, and accountability as a team player and member.
  • Fast learner with a good learning attitude.
  • Pro-active and takes initiative.
  • Handling difficult situations and advising people within the organization.
  • Complete ownership of tasks assigned, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Relevant digital experience.
  • Motivated and a good work attitude.
