We are seeking a seasoned legal expert to lead our treasury and finance operations, capital markets, and regulatory compliance efforts.

  • Strategic Legal Leadership:

The successful candidate will provide visionary legal leadership for the bank's financial operations, overseeing funding, capital markets, treasury investments, asset-liability management, and compliance frameworks.

  • Legal Strategy Support:

The Chief Counsel will lead the legal strategy supporting AIIB's treasury and financial operations, including capital markets, asset-liability management, and derivative transactions.

  • Financial Transaction Expertise:

Provide legal input to the structuring, execution, and review of financial transactions and instruments (bond issuances, derivatives, repo operations) to ensure compliance with market standards and regulatory expectations.

  • Liquidity Management and Investments:

Advise on liquidity management, investments, and regulatory compliance related to treasury operations.

  • Treasury Legal Advisory:

Mentor and lead treasury legal staff and represent the legal team in external engagements related to debt issuance programs.

  • Governance Protocols:

Design governance protocols for legal compliance in treasury operations and contribute to treasury innovations (e.g., ESG bonds, repo facilities, central bank arrangements).

  • Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience and expertise in treasury and finance operations, capital markets, regulatory compliance, and financial risk management.
