Job Title

The Early Intervention Teacher plays a pivotal role in fostering quality learning experiences for students through effective curriculum delivery and innovative teaching strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate student needs to develop tailored learning objectives, and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Design and create engaging instructional plans, materials, and environments that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Foster student growth through differentiated, evidence-based practices, both independently and collaboratively with the teaching team.
  • Proactively manage the classroom environment to enhance motivation, behavior, and opportunities for learning.
  • Provide safe, supportive relationships and environments that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
Collaboration for Optimal Student Learning:
  • Leverage transdisciplinary approaches to coordinate development strategies effectively.
  • Engage with parents, caregivers, and community partners to contextualize and generalize learning beyond the classroom.
  • Promote family-centered planning for learning and life goals, ensuring continued development and preparation for future stages.
Personal and Professional Growth:
  • Participate in reflective practice and supervision to enhance professional performance.
  • Engage in initiatives that innovate processes, improving student learning and organizational functioning.
Requirements:
  • Hold a Diploma/Degree in a relevant field (Psychology, Social Work, Human Services) and possess SDESN certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in early intervention settings.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying students and equipment.
  • Only Singaporean citizens or Permanent Residents eligible.
  • Trained Educators may be eligible for a Sign-on Bonus (Terms apply).
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with children.
  • Strong understanding of Psychology and its application in education.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities.
  • Effective Teaching and Classroom Management techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
