Senior Manager Alternative Investment Services Director

Established professionals are invited to apply for the position of Senior Manager Alternative Investment Services Director at State Street Corporation. This senior managerial position has responsibility for directing the administration offering for a portfolio of well-known alternative investment clients and interacting with all levels of professionals both internally and externally. The team you will be joining is a part of International Fund Services (IFS), acquired by State Street in 2002. IFS, also known as Alternative Investment Solutions, is a recognized industry-leading provider of fund accounting, fund administration and risk services to hedge funds and private equity funds.
The Senior Manager Alternative Investment Services Director will provide overall direction to department managers and subordinate staff to assure synchronized teamwork that accomplishes yearly and quarterly financial, and efficiency goals and objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining relationships with clients at appropriate levels to ensure continued confidence in State Street and ensuring expectations are met and client satisfaction with the level of service received.
- Supervising staff and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Working with other home site locations and hub locations in China and India on deliverable quality improvement, KPI and efficiency projects.
- Reviewing and approving all transactions in accordance with established guidelines.
- Functioning as the contact point for client escalation, complaints and handling such cases effectively and professionally.
The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills, excellent administrative and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work efficiently to meet client deliverables. A college degree in accounting, business, mathematics, finance or economics is preferred, along with 13 or more years of accounting and/or financial service operations experience, including 5 to 7 years of managerial experience. Solid knowledge of private equity area is required.
