Highly Experienced Senior Instrumentation Professional

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Instrumentation Engineer with a minimum of 12 years of specialization in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Turbines, field instrumentation, and turbine supervisory instrumentation (TSI).
The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of thermal power plant processes, DCS/PLC systems, governing valve tuning, and logic implementation, along with familiarity with Yokogawa or Emerson control systems and a solid grasp of generator-related instrumentation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead instrumentation tasks for MHI turbine systems, encompassing installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical TSI systems.
- Manage and oversee field instrumentation throughout the plant, including pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, control valves, and analyzers.
- Execute governing valve tuning, feedback loop calibration, and dynamic response analysis to optimize turbine control.
- Conduct logic review, validation, and implementation for safety interlocks, process control sequences, and automation logic in DCS/PLC platforms.
- Work hands-on with Yokogawa or Emerson DCS systems for graphics, logic configuration, and control loop tuning.
- Collaborate with OEMs, consultants, and interdisciplinary teams during turbine overhauls, commissioning, and routine operation phases.
- Monitor generator parameters and provide support for instrumentation activities related to generator protection, excitation system, and temperature monitoring.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, loop diagrams, P&IDs, instrument index, and calibration records in accordance with ISO and power industry standards.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for instrumentation failures or process deviations.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards and foster a culture of safe work practices.
Core Competencies & Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience with MHI Turbine Instrumentation and Supervisory Instrumentation (TSI).
- Profound field experience in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of process instruments.
- Indepth knowledge of thermal power plant operations, particularly Boiler-TurbineGenerator (BTG) systems.
- Expertise in governing valve control, actuator tuning, and PID loop optimization.
- Proficiency in DCS/PLC systems with a working understanding of Yokogawa CENTUM VP and/or Emerson Ovation/DeltaV platforms.
- Understanding of logic diagrams, interlock matrices, and sequence control strategies.
- Exposure to generator instrumentation including stator/rotor temperature, hydrogen/oil seal systems, and protection devices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Additional Requirements (Preferred):
- Familiarity with international instrumentation standards such as ISA, IEC, IEEE.
