Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team.

  • To assess and provide individualised Occupational Therapy intervention for children with developmental challenges, ensuring their needs are met and they achieve their full potential.
  • To conduct group Occupational Therapy classes if required, in areas such as handwriting and socialisation, promoting a sense of community and shared learning experience among participants.
  • To establish strong relationships with parents and caregivers through regular feedback and open communication, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • To stay up-to-date with developments in Pediatric Occupational Therapy, remaining current on best practices and research findings.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment and Intervention

To identify the specific needs and goals of each child, and develop an effective treatment plan that addresses these needs.

To implement and monitor the treatment plan, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Group Classes

To design and deliver engaging group Occupational Therapy classes, promoting skills development and fun learning experiences.

To adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of participants, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.

Communication and Collaboration

To maintain regular contact with parents and caregivers, providing updates on progress and involving them in the treatment planning process.

To work effectively with other healthcare professionals, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the care provided to children.

RequirementsQualifications

Full registration with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)

Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy

Skills and Abilities

Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.

Ability to work weekends and flexible hours, demonstrating a commitment to meeting the needs of clients.
