Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities' mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance Management: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize system performance. Perform timely repairs and troubleshooting to maintain system functionality.
  2. System Performance: Establish and monitor performance tracking systems to identify areas for improvement. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal system performance.
  3. Procedure Optimization: Formulate and improve operating procedures for efficient system management, reducing energy consumption and minimizing waste.
  4. Utility Consumption: Monitor utility usage and implement reduction projects to minimize costs and environmental impact. Collaborate with users to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  5. Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to relevant standards, legislation, and codes of practice to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  6. Training and Documentation: Train colleagues on system operations and maintain accurate documentation for systems and processes, ensuring knowledge sharing and continuity.
  7. Resource Management: Recommend and manage necessary spares and consumables, supervising and executing facilities-related projects to ensure effective resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Science, Mechanical Engineering, Building, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or petrochemical industries.
  • SCEM certification is a plus.
