The Role of Compliance Officer

Job Summary

We seek a seasoned Compliance Officer to join our team. As the key point of contact for regulatory matters, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

This role is ideal for a professional with experience in financial services or insurance who is familiar with regulatory frameworks and licensing requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the organization's licensing application process, ensuring timely and effective communication with regulators.
  • Develop and maintain internal policies and frameworks compliant with relevant laws.
  • Oversee compliance with Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regulations, Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and corporate governance codes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to mitigate regulatory risks.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in insurance, financial services, or regulatory compliance.
  • At least 5 years in senior compliance roles in Singapore, preferably in licensed insurance brokerage or financial advisory firms.
  • Proven track record of securing and maintaining licenses is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, licensing, and compliance operations.
  • Familiarity with risk management, governance, and regulatory audits.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional certifications in compliance, AML, or risk management are a plus.
