Strategic Planning Leader

As a strategic planning leader, you will play a key role in driving the development of organisation-wide strategies and ensuring alignment and coordination within the team and with stakeholders.
The role involves leading or supporting projects to develop and pilot new career & employment services, managing funding contracts, arrangements and disbursements, and evaluating the outcomes of pilots and developing post-pilot prototypes/new initiatives.
You will also be responsible for developing and implementing new programmes and initiatives with industry partners, including conceptualising new programmes and initiatives involving internal stakeholders and industry partners, seeking funding and resourcing to implement programmes and initiatives, and engaging and appointing industry partners to develop and implement programmes and initiatives.
Additionally, you will manage international relations for the team, including assessment for strategic opportunities, building and maintaining connections with best-in-class public employment services and international entities.
Other responsibilities include supporting the development, coordination and review of whole-of-team strategies to drive productive reallocation of labour, and providing support for budget/cos materials and speeches, pq's, cab memo and management reports.
Key skills required for this role include excellent writing and communication skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, good project management and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in coordinating and driving team efforts as a sector lead in the career and employment services sector.
The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to engage external and internal stakeholders, and demonstrate a commitment to the ethos of public service.
