Job Overview

Support the day-to-day operations of a science laboratory by ensuring a safe and organized environment for experiments and preparations.

This role involves assisting in daily practical sessions, exam preparations, and lab maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the Science Laboratory Technician to ensure seamless laboratory operations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Dispense chemicals and prepare apparatus for experiments.
  2. Collect equipment and safely dispose of chemicals after use.
  3. Replenish bench reagents and wash glass apparatus during term breaks.
  4. Participate in ad-hoc duties assigned by the Science Laboratory Technician as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Attention to detail for accurate chemical handling and data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues.
  • Organizational skills for maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks during busy periods.
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry principles for effective experiment preparation and execution.
