We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team as a Home Therapy Specialist in Queenstown and Hillview. The successful candidate will work with patients in their homes, providing individualised care plans and conducting assessments.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and design patient-tailored care plans to meet the needs of individuals requiring home therapy services.
- Provide treatment interventions in a home setting, using a variety of techniques and modalities as required.
- Prescribe equipment and train caregivers as needed, ensuring seamless integration into the patient's daily routine.
- Discharge patients and refer to other services when necessary, promoting continuity of care and support.
- Attend monthly home therapy meetings and participate in department-organised training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
- Manage administrative duties efficiently, prioritising tasks and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- A degree or diploma in physiotherapy recognised by the relevant health professions council is essential.
- Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council is mandatory.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Work independently, conducting assessments and interventions at home with minimal supervision.
- Design patient-tailored care plans that cater to individual needs and preferences.
