3D Printer Specialist

Job Description:

As a 3D printer specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our 3D printing services. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain a range of 3D printers, including FDM, SLA, and SLS models.

You will be responsible for preparing files for printing, which includes slicing, orienting, and adding supports as necessary. Additionally, you will post-process printed parts, such as curing and sanding, to ensure they meet our high standards.

Calibration and troubleshooting of printers and equipment will also be an essential part of your job. You will need to maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all tools and materials are readily available when needed.

Another key aspect of this role is working closely with design and R&D teams to improve print quality and develop new printing techniques. You will also be responsible for managing material and spare part inventory, documenting printing procedures and maintenance logs, and providing support to internal teams on 3D printing capabilities.

Lastly, you will stay updated with the latest 3D printing trends and technologies, applying this knowledge to continually improve our printing services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial design, or a related field
  • Experience with 3D printers, preferably in a professional setting
  • Familiarity with slicing software, such as Cura or PrusaSlicer
  • Basic CAD knowledge, including SolidWorks or Fusion
  • Strong problem-solving and hands-on skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
