Job Title:

A Chemical Operations Specialist is required to manage and execute chemical processes in designated production machines and equipment. This role demands attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct commissioning and qualification activities to ensure smooth process execution.
  • Operate chemical production machines and equipment independently, selecting intermediates or raw materials as required.
  • Perform in-process quality testing to ensure customer specifications are met, identifying deviations and documenting/communicating them accordingly.
  • Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications to add the proper quantities of materials in the correct sequence.
  • Manufacture product safely and efficiently, following predefined process instructions to meet specific quality standards.
  • Accurately read control instruments and maintain neat and accurate records for all operations as required.
  • Perform maintenance on production equipment, troubleshooting complex problems independently and providing recommendations for correction.
  • Prepare product packaging for next steps in production or final shipment to customers according to department specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop floor and workplace at all times, completing sanitation and housekeeping duties as required.
  • Work in accordance with relevant requirements, including GMP, OSHA, and internal safety guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Minimum GCE 'N' or 'O' Level or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or manufacturing-related fields.
  • Secondary Level or equivalent with considerable experience in Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or manufacturing-related industries.
  • Able to lift 5-10 kg instruments.
