Senior Marine Underwriting Professional

Develop and implement comprehensive underwriting strategies for marine portfolios in Asia, driving growth and profitability while ensuring compliance with guidelines. Collaborate with a team of underwriters to manage complex risks, regional programs, and customer relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and execute underwriting strategies for marine products (cargo & hull)
  • Manage a team of underwriters and provide guidance on specialist underwriting skills
  • Ensure effective risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, intermediaries, and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in underwriting, preferably in a regional role or portfolio management position
  • Strategic planning and leadership skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and drive results-oriented performance
