Position Overview: We are looking for a seasoned professional to enhance our Communications and Events Team. The selected candidate will be tasked with crafting and implementing effective integrated communication strategies, managing digital media, and facilitating both internal and external communications. This role is crucial in supporting our stakeholders in outreach, donor relations, and alumni engagement to fulfill the strategic objectives of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership in Communication and Events: Design, develop, and execute impactful integrated communication strategies to bolster the reputation of WKWSCI. Manage administrative functions related to marketing initiatives, including service procurement and budget oversight. Handle incident and crisis management effectively.
  • Digital Media Oversight: Formulate and implement a comprehensive digital media strategy through competitive analysis, platform selection, and audience targeting. Ensure consistency in messaging and visual presentation across all communication channels by creating a digital media brand and style guide. Generate and execute engaging content aligned with the school's digital strategy, while maintaining a detailed digital media calendar and managing daily social media activities. Supervise social media accounts for all WKWSCI programs, including content approval. Utilize digital analytics to assess content performance and optimize media strategies to enhance audience engagement.
  • Web Management: Act as the custodian of the School's online presence, ensuring that all web content is regularly updated and aligns with branding standards.
  • Corporate Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies that support both internal and external objectives. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on press releases and media strategies to ensure effective audience targeting.
  • Marketing Communication: Create marketing campaigns and collateral for various programs and initiatives. Disseminate organizational updates through multiple channels, including newsletters and social media. Manage the school’s brand image across both digital and print platforms, overseeing the production of communication materials.
  • Event Management: Oversee all school-related events, including outreach initiatives, research symposiums, and conferences. Collaborate with other departments and external partners to maintain strong relationships.
  • Engagement with Students, Donors, and Alumni: Provide expert guidance to team leads on marketing communications and support for related events. Develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan for donor and alumni engagement.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, preferably in communication, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in social media, digital marketing, and communications. Strong understanding of the evolving media landscape and digital marketing strategies is essential.
  • Proficient in social media platforms and messaging applications, with experience in content creation for digital communications.
  • Familiarity with design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and editing tools (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), as well as social media management tools.
  • Basic knowledge of web design and development is advantageous.
  • Excellent command of English for effective communication and writing is required.
