Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planning and Management Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Production Manager in ensuring timely production schedules and planning.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. They will be responsible for scheduling, planning, and forecasting inventory requirements for a smooth-running department.

In addition, they will generate Master Production Schedules and Manufacturing Orders, forecast inventory requirements, optimize inventory levels, and help evaluate and implement an inventory management system.

The Production Planning and Management Specialist will collaborate with Marketing, Production, Purchasing, and Inventory Teams to plan, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of materials.

They will review sales forecasts, customer demands, and schedule production orders based on inventory levels and production lead times.

The role requires participation in logistics planning for raw materials and work-in-progress.

Tactical buying decisions and purchasing strategies will be executed while handling repeat buys.

The specialist will coordinate production material requirements with marketing or purchasing to ensure adequate inventory of raw materials and packaging.

Maintaining bills of material for production processes is also a key responsibility.

Accurate raw materials and work-in-progress inventory levels must be ensured.

The position involves overseeing production planning and management activities within the organization.

Developing production planning and timelines according to production specifications is required.

Determining production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications is essential.

Identifying delays and adjusting schedules to meet deadlines is crucial.

Notification of any delays and outages to the Marketing Team is necessary.

Maintaining ISO documentations as required is also part of the role.

Other ad-hoc duties assigned by management may also be required.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Production Material Planning Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
  • Self-motivated individual able to work independently with initiative
  • Skill areas include Forecasting, Microsoft Office, Production Planning, Inventory, Purchasing, Marketing, Raw Materials, Inventory Management, Scheduling, and Manufacturing
