Job Role:
System Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT/Engineering, with expertise in supporting network, security, server, and UPS systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform corrective maintenance to restore system functionality, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Monitor system operational availability and reliability, tracking key performance indicators such as Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

  • Carry out software testing on the system, identifying and resolving issues promptly.

  • Ensure accurate configuration of the system for software/system testing and production environments.

  • Manage spares provisioning, support, and test equipment, maintaining inventory records and performing store keeping functions.

  • Perform serviceability checks on spares, addressing any faults efficiently.

  • Monitor end-of-life and end-of-support status of spares and installed hardware, planning for replacements or upgrades accordingly.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on hardware to maintain system integrity, adhering to planned maintenance schedules.

  • Liaise with vendors to perform calibration services on test equipment used for preventive maintenance.



Requirements:

  • Degree in IT/Engineering discipline

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in supporting network, security, server, and UPS systems

  • Proficiency in IT Service Management (ITSM) standards, processes, and best practices

  • Able to work varied shifts, including night shifts and weekends, in a fast-paced environment

  • Prior experience in Server/Network/Uninterruptible Power System/Security products is an added advantage

  • Customer-centric approach with high level of service attitude

  • Strong listening and analytical skills

  • Hardworking, outgoing, and enthusiastic individual with positive working attitude

  • Ability to thrive in dynamic environment and understand system architecture diagrams

  • Able to pick up new technologies quickly

  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as assigned
