Job Title: Design Coordination Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Coordination Specialist to oversee all related building design matters and coordinate with relevant consultants and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the sequence of design coordination is under proper control, overseeing architectural, structural, and MEP designs, and coordinating with consultants and team members to resolve any problems encountered.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating shop drawings and documents to ensure they meet time schedules and requirements.
  • Ensuring instructions from consultants are properly coordinated in shop drawings and documents.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors on shop drawings and samples submission according to schedule timelines.
  • Documenting coordination meetings, RFI submissions, and status updates.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A degree or diploma in a relevant field or Singapore National Certificate in Construction Supervision.
  • At least 4 years of design coordination experience in architectural and structural trades in the building construction industry.
  • Able to work independently with experience in at least two large-scale construction projects.
Preferred Skills

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to influence stakeholders, and lead subordinate design staff. Additionally, good knowledge of local authority requirements and engineering standards, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues quickly are desirable.
