Business Risk Management Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Business Risk Management Expert to join our team in driving the strategic direction of risk management across six core CBGO markets and five brokerage units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, sound knowledge of financial services processes, and proven success in leading by influence.

  • Risk Management & Mitigation
    • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies aligned with the organization's risk appetite
    • Conduct periodic risk reviews and key risk indicator analysis to ensure internal controls are effective
  • Control Oversight & Testing
    • Drive remediation of control gaps through root cause analysis and lessons learnt
    • Collaborate with other regional risk teams to foster a strong risk culture
  • Vendor Management
    • Lead governance over outsourced service providers, including risk assessment and contract management
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations
  • Risk Culture & Training
    • Champion a strong risk culture by supporting and training teams on risk awareness and best practices
    • Lead risk culture building initiatives
  • Risk Project Delivery
    • Contribute to and deliver on risk-related projects within agreed timelines
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Banking/Financial Services industry
  • Adequate knowledge and application of risk policies & banking regulations
  • Proven success in excelling as individual contributor and leading by influencing
  • Exposure to one or more of CBGO markets for DBS
  • Good organisational and strong interpersonal skills
  • Having strong thought leadership and motivational skills
