Sustainability Specialist Job Overview
As a key player in our organization, the Sustainability Specialist plays a critical role in driving initiatives focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation.
Key Responsibilities include project management of Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations, coordination with cross-functional teams for comprehensive climate mitigation and adaptation planning, and data reporting related to CSRD requirements. Additional responsibilities involve developing methodologies, training stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with climate-related laws and standards.

Key Accountabilities
1. Develop and implement climate change policies tailored to organizational and regulatory requirements by collaborating with relevant teams.
2. Lead Scope 3 GHG Emissions Management by working transversally with teams on emissions calculation projects and providing guidance on data collection and reporting.
3. Coordinate with global and local teams to ensure timely and accurate data submission and escalate issues, risks, and instances of non-compliance promptly to the sustainability steering committee.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field, along with 5-7 years of experience in sustainability, climate change, or environmental management, focusing on GHG accounting and project coordination.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise including knowledge of GHG Protocol, Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, familiarity with climate adaptation and mitigation frameworks, and experience with sustainability reporting tools and standards such as CDP and TCFD. Excellent project management and organizational skills, strong interpersonal and communication abilities to engage diverse stakeholders, and an analytical mindset with attention to detail are also essential.
