Healthcare Support Specialist

The Healthcare Support Specialist will be responsible for providing administrative support to healthcare staff, including greeting and registering patients, scheduling appointments, and managing billing and payment collection.

  • Greet and register patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate collection and entry of personal and medical information.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, follow-ups, and reminders.
  • Assist doctors and nurses during consultations and minor procedures as needed.
  • Prepare consultation rooms, maintain cleanliness and ensure all equipment and supplies are available.
  • Dispense prescribed medications and provide basic medication instructions to patients.
  • Manage billing, payment collection, and insurance claims processing.
  • Answer phone calls, handle enquiries, and provide information regarding clinic services.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is updated and kept confidential.
  • Support daily clinic operations, including stock inventory, ordering supplies, and general administrative tasks.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service, professionalism, and care when interacting with patients and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage.
  • Able to use basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Responsible, organized, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Customer service-oriented, with a friendly and patient attitude.
  • Willing to work flexible hours or shifts as required.
