Financial Operations Expertise Required

The key responsibility of this role is to manage daily financial operations, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and general ledger (GL). The specialist will be responsible for preparing and issuing customer invoices accurately and on time, based on contractual terms. Review and verification of job costing will also be a priority to ensure accuracy and profitability. In addition, monitoring partial revenue recognition in line with accounting standards is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices within the agreed timeframe.
  • Verify job costing to ensure accuracy and profitable outcomes.
  • Monitor revenue recognition in accordance with established accounting standards.
  • Liaise with management accounting and operations teams to resolve invoicing and job costing issues.
  • Maintain and update weekly and monthly AR reports.
  • Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices according to company policies and approval workflows.
  • Match invoices with supporting documents such as POs, delivery notes, and job costing.
  • Follow up on discrepancies with relevant departments.
  • Ensure timely payment of approved invoices.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and necessary adjustments.
  • Provide weekly financial reports for management review.
  • Generate monthly reports highlighting key variances, risks, and opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possess a degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in AR/AP/GL.
  • Prior experience in Power BI and Power Automate, focused on improving financial processes and automating workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macro, data analysis).
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
