Purpose

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Pools Attendant to join our team. As a Pools Attendant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing proactive service and assistance to guests who visit the wellness facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to multitask and work independently as well as part of a team. Previous experience working in a similar setting is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide friendly, efficient, consistent and personalized service to Fitness Centre guests
- Ensure the safety of Team Members and Fitness Centre guests at all times
- Maintain the cleanliness of the gymnasium, changing rooms and pool area, including deck chairs, cabanas and umbrellas
- Coordinate with the IRD team to provide agreed levels of service at the pool, including serving ice water and towels on arrival
- Maintain the pool to the highest standards, which may involve engaging external vendors to provide specialized equipment and expertise in pool cleaning
- Supervise the area around the pool at regular intervals, reacting immediately to any emergency or signs of distress and provide pool rescue in accordance with set emergency procedures
- Inform guests when necessary to abide by the rules and regulations of the pool
- Perform regular inspections of swimming pool and lifesaving equipment in the swimming pool
- Familiarize yourself with swimming pool SOPs and adhere to requirements such as pool surveillance procedures, emergency action plans

Requirements

To successfully fill this role, you should have:
- Previous experience working in a similar setting
- Relevant, current and valid qualifications
- Strong customer awareness and focus
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with guests
- Ability to multitask and work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to swim
- Valid Standard CPR and AED certification
- Valid Standard First Aid certification
