
HSE Specialist Manufacturing Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Tuas. As an HSE Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring workplace safety and operational compliance.
- This is a hands-on role where you'll directly support safety initiatives, compliance audits, and training for teams on the ground.
- You'll be part of a dedicated team driving continuous improvements across Health, Safety, Environment & Security (HSES) functions—making a real difference to site safety and employee wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing technical HSES support for ongoing and upcoming projects, including site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Conducting and supporting training for new hires, visitors, contractors, and internal teams on safety practices and procedures
- Assisting with permit-to-work systems and documentation (e.g. Safe Work Permits, Life Saving Permits)
- Participating in job safety analysis, pre-startup reviews, process hazard analysis, and change management
- SUPPORTING chemical management, including tracking and updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Maintaining HSES documentation, compliance records, and digital backups
- Staying up to date with regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT) and assisting in ensuring site compliance
- Tracking and closing action items from safety audits or incidents
- Contributing to monthly safety meetings and employee safety engagement activities
- Supporting emergency response training and may be part of the Emergency Response (ER) team
- Assisting in waste management and monitoring industrial hygiene if needed
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- At least 3 years of HSES, Environmental, Process Safety experience
- Prior experience in a chemical plant is preferred; other manufacturing environments may also be considered
- Able to participate in the emergency response (ER) team
As an HSE Specialist, you can expect:
- Mon - Fri, Office Hours (8am - 5pm)
- 12 months contract (Subject for extension / possibility for conversion)
