Maritime Operations Specialist Role

The primary function of the Maritime Operations Specialist is to provide technical assistance and support to customers operating Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) in various maritime environments.

This includes conducting verification checks onboard vessels at ports, terminals, or while at anchor to ensure equipment is functioning properly.

Furthermore, logistical coordination involves delivering and returning equipment between storage warehouses and vessels within a designated region.

Additionally, software and firmware updates must be performed as necessary, with training provided by headquarters.

Operational guidance and suggestions are also provided to improve equipment performance, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.

Lastly, sales and marketing support is provided by participating in local visits and product showcases to promote ROV solutions to potential customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Training and Development: Deliver training sessions on ROV operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting to customers in both physical and virtual formats.
  • Equipment Verification: Conduct verification checks onboard vessels at ports, terminals, or while at anchor to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Logistical Coordination: Coordinate the delivery and return of equipment between storage warehouses and vessels within a designated region.
  • Software and Firmware Updates: Perform software and firmware updates as necessary, with training provided by headquarters.
  • Customer Support: Provide operational guidance and suggestions to improve equipment performance, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.
  • Sales and Marketing Support: Participate in local visits and product showcases to promote ROV solutions to potential customers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Diploma holder or above in maritime studies, marine and offshore engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience: Prior experience as a maritime deck cadet is preferred.
  • Travel and Work Requirements: Must be comfortable boarding vessels at various locations and willing to travel overseas for training and work-related duties as needed.
