This position plays a pivotal role in driving Schneider Electric's export control program and compliance through frequent trainings, stakeholder engagements and management, monitoring & communicating of regulatory changes and updates as well as implementation of new and continuous improvement of processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and enhance the company's global export control program as a member of the Global Export Control Center of Excellence (CoE)
- Lead, coordinate, or support export control classification related projects and activities for East Asia & Pacific
- Oversee and provide guidance to adherence of the East Asia & Pacific region and applicable international and national export control & sanctions regulations and requirements representing the Global Export Control Center of Excellence (CoE) in the region.
- Be a subject-matter-expert (SME) on East Asia & Pacific export control & sanctions regulations and requirements.
- Be the point of contact for export control related government agencies and authorities as applicable.
- Monitor the East Asia & Pacific export control & sanctions regulations, understand impacts to Schneider Electric business operations and provide timely updates to corporate, regional management and stakeholder(s).
- Conduct and support reviews and audits at Schneider Electric sites, generate reports to senior management and lead improvement activities.
- Perform training of personnel at all levels on a frequent basis.
- Advise Schneider Electric sites of new regulations and how they affect business processes.
- Develop and provide advice for procedures that are 'self-checking' ensuring adherence to export control and sanctions related regulations.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree helpful.
- Competent export control experience required, preferable in a multinational company.
- 10-15 years of detailed and extensive knowledge and experience in East Asia, Pacific and International Export Control & Sanctions related regulations, including classification, licensing, reporting and export program development & management.
- 30% travel domestically and internationally when required.
- Demonstrated ability to both leading a team and being a team player.
- Proficiency with MS office applications.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
