Job Title: Educational Support Specialist

Overview:

The Educational Support Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Secondary Years leadership team with the management of daily operations. This includes coordinating and managing cover/supply arrangements, deploying teachers, and tracking student attendance.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage daily cover/supply arrangements for the Secondary Years in conjunction with the Dean of Student Life.
  • Manage and coordinate the deployment of cover/supply teachers.
  • Track student attendance and communicate with parents regarding absence or non-receipt of communication.
  • Identify and address instances where teachers have not recorded student attendance.
  • Ensure students meet attendance requirements set by authorities.
  • Lead exam timetabling and invigilation schedules with support from IB Coordinators and Dean of Student Life.
  • Set up and run internal examinations smoothly, including coordination of invigilators.
  • Operate school management systems such as PowerSchool and Managebac.
  • Make timely changes to the Secondary Years timetable, staffing, and rooming in PowerSchool as required.
  • Prepare school management information systems accurately for reporting periods.
  • Assist in the SY office in the absence of the Executive Assistant.
  • Fulfill other relevant divisional duties as directed by the SY Principal.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma / Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a school, preferably in an international setting (Secondary Years).
  • Previous administrative or similar experience.
  • Ability to manage and handle systems comfortably.
  • Excellent English Language communication skills (Verbal & Written).
  • Team player, able to work with tight deadlines and be solution-focused.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and quick learner.
