Job Description:

The Science Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and daily upkeep of science rooms. This includes inspecting learning resources for quality and damages, labeling, sorting, and storing resources by type and level for easier access.

Maintain stock records and carry out physical stock counts. Monitor stock levels and spoilages twice annually. Provide logistical support to teachers by packing items requested daily and for practical assessments and major learning events.

Support science teachers and HOD with any other ad hoc tasks assigned and related matters.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Independent: Confident in working individually with minimal supervision.
  • Team Player: Able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Organised: Meticulous in keeping records and carrying out tasks efficiently.
  • Preferably Sec 4 Education
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a primary school science laboratory
  • Proficient in MS Office
