Discipleship Leader Job Description

This role involves providing pastoral and executive support to the Discipleship & Nurture Ministry's vision, programs and activities. The job requires close collaboration with church leaders to steer, direct, grow and develop the ministry according to the Church's strategic direction.

Responsibilities:
  • To work closely with church leaders to steer, direct, grow and develop the Ministry to the directions of the Church.
  • To provide pastoral care, support & guidance to D&N Committee and Sub Committee Members.
  • To plan and execute discipleship programs / resources according to Church's direction.
  • To recruit, engage, develop relationship development with volunteers.
  • To disciple and shepherd, the staff supporting the ministry.
  • To participate and collaborate in WMC's staff meetings, trainings, and events.


Requirements:
  • Relevant theological qualifications (e.g. MDiv).
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively plan and execute programs and events with strong time management & relational skills.
  • Servant heart to serve the Church members, committee members, volunteers, staff team members and others.
  • Team player with a positive attitude who can adapt and thrive in a dynamic organizational environment, whilst striving for continuous improvement through evaluation and feedback.
  • Great Communication and Interpersonal skills that can foster a strong relationship in the ministry.
  • Meticulous and conscientious in nature, with the ability to work with confidential information and maintain a high standard of honesty and integrity.
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional schedules which includes evenings, public holidays and weekends.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Will to go the extra mile for the ministry without seeking returns.
