Job Title: Crane Erector

We are seeking a skilled Crane Erection Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with expertise in installing and dismantling tower cranes, mobile cranes, and other heavy-lift machinery at job sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Dismantling
  • Assemble and disassemble tower cranes, mobile cranes, and other heavy-lift machinery at job sites, ensuring all equipment is properly aligned and secured.
  • Install mast sections, turntables, jibs, counterweights, and climbing frames according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform jacking up or jacking down operations for tower cranes using hydraulic jacking systems.
Inspection and Testing:
  • Conduct thorough pre-erection inspections of crane parts and lifting gear to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Verify proper alignment and torqueing of bolts and structural connections to prevent accidents.
  • Collaborate with riggers, signalmen, and crane operators to perform load testing and function checks as required.
Safety Compliance:
  • Familiarize yourself with risk assessment protocols, safe work procedures (SWP), and fall protection regulations to guarantee a secure working environment.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant MOM and site-specific safety rules to minimize the risk of accidents.
  • Report any safety incidents, hazards, or equipment defects immediately to facilitate prompt resolution.
Team Coordination:
  • Work closely with riggers, signalmen, crane operators, and site supervisors to achieve project goals.
  • Interpret crane manuals, drawings, and engineering plans accurately to ensure seamless execution of tasks.
  • Maintain effective communication during lifting and installation activities to prevent misunderstandings.
Documentation:
  • Complete comprehensive crane erection checklists and handover documents to maintain a paper trail.
  • Keep accurate logs of work activities, inspections, and non-conformities to facilitate quality control.
