About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cell Operations Manager to join our Shared Services team at Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of professionals in charge of centralized Plasma Spray, Brazing, and Laser processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the operational performance of the Shared Services team, ensuring achievement of targets such as eTAT, OTD, HPP, productivity, utilization, and overtime reduction.
  • Implement and drive Smart Factory transformation and enhancement initiatives within the cell.
  • Allocate resources, including overtime management and indirect/direct charge, to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor and report production outputs and sales targets, providing effective communication across the cells and leadership development to shop floor employees.
  • Review staffing and training needs, including performance, salary, and career appraisal, as well as hiring, retaining, and developing new talent.
  • Interface with other departments, such as Engineering, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, HR, and Materials, to achieve cell goals and company objectives.
  • Standardize operational metrics, reporting, and performance monitoring.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as required.
  • Lead productivity and CORE projects to reduce costs, improve quality, and cycle time.
  • Support and participate in EH&S programs and activities within the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in production, operations, or manufacturing with supervisory role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Senior/Lead Technician with leadership experience or Engineer with interest in operations supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams on 3 shifts to achieve business goals.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Process and detail-oriented, including strong interpersonal and prioritization skills.
  • Lean manufacturing or repair experience with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience working with SAP systems is a plus.
  • Relevant experience in Aerospace, manufacturing, or MRO is a plus.
